As an adult, it is not uncommon to have experienced some form of trauma in childhood. This can be due to a variety of factors, such as abuse, neglect, or even just witnessing violence. This trauma can have a profound effect on our mental health and can even lead to depression and anxiety in adulthood. when it comes to childhood trauma your brain can repress memories so when you feel like something is not right and don’t know why it’s because of childhood trauma.

When these memories do come up its hard to confront your parents or a guardian that you looked up to as a child who hurt you but you’re not alone or the only one.

How to bounce back from childhood trauma.

Types of Trauma. 

PTSD, Anxiety disorders, depression, suicidality, somatic symptoms, and emotional dysregulation etc…

Fortunately, some steps can be taken to heal from this trauma. One of the most important things is to understand that you are not alone. Many other adults have gone through similar experiences, and there is support available. sadly, its normal for adults to not understand or know how to cope with their childhood trauma. Some can’t afford therapy or have had such a bad experience with therapist that they are not willing to go back to therapy.

there are 3 major things that can help you with childhood trauma. you would want to acknowledge this certain childhood experience as trauma. be patient with yourself. self-criticism and guilt can be very common when it comes to adults who have lived through a traumatic childhood. And reach out for help!

There are also many resources available to help you understand and cope with your trauma. These can include therapy, support groups, and even self-help books. Healing from childhood trauma is possible, but it takes time and effort. With the right support, you can overcome this adversity and live a happy and fulfilling life. Wanting to have a happy life is definitely going to be hard but when your tired of feeling stuck or not able to move on from childhood trauma it’s worth it because  when you have peace from that trauma it’s wait lifted off of your shoulders.
